Graphic Designer
We are expanding and seeking a Graphic Designer with a driving passion for design excellence. This role is strategic and tactical in a collaborative environment with designers, researchers and engineers.
Job Level Duties
Job duties include working closely with HumanCentric and client teams by:
- Providing expertise and support to development teams during creation of product concepts.
- Supporting both complex projects and clients to deliver world-class design.
- Analyzing and problem solving with the ability to clearly communicate through verbal, written or visual approaches.
- Participating in Design Methodology and Scenario Planning with the ability to solve complex problems through the development and evaluation of options.
- Supporting user research and requirements gathering.
- Demonstrating an understanding of design requirements and client's and end-user's goals and objectives.
- Conceptualizing and creating design solutions with the goal that designs must meet user, technical, and creative expectations.
Job Requirements
The candidate should have:
- A four year degree in Graphic Design or Fine Arts required (BA/MA/BFA/MFA or equivalent) with a minimum two years experience is required (entry level applicants may be considered based on portfolio).
- A portfolio of work showing a diverse range of design projects and mediums (both physical and digital). The work should demonstrate excellent ideation, composition and typography skills.
- Extended knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and Macromedia Studio 8 (strong Actionscript skills). Motion Graphics and mobile device content design (SVG/SVG-t) experience a plus.
- A sensitivity to aesthetic and seasonal trends, color trend and market research.
- Self-motivated with a high level of responsibility and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently as well as with multi-disciplinary teams.
- English proficiency required; other languages a plus.
- Must be able to perform a variety of tasks, which often includes working on multiple projects simultaneously where a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- A willingness to embrace new technologies in an ever-changing technological environment.
- Willingness to work with teams often located in remote geographical locations and time zones.
