Andrew Wirtanen

Human Factors Specialist, North Carolina

Bio

Andrew is a Human Factors Specialist at HumanCentric. He specializes in leveraging his human factors, prototyping, web development, and technical skills to improve the usability and usefulness of products. Prior to working at HumanCentric, Andrew was a Research Associate at the Design and Usability Center at Bentley College. At Bentley, he worked with clients such as VW, Putnam, Upromise, and H&R Block using methods including usability testing, heuristic evaluations, interviews, surveys, card sorting, and focus groups. He has worked on a variety of projects ranging from websites to a vehicle infotainment system.

Andrew graduated from Bentley College with an MS in Human Factors in Information Design and is all-but-capstone for the MS in Information Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Andrew is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES), Association of Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction (ACM SIGCHI), and the Usability Professionals' Association (UPA).
