As Creative Director at HumanCentric, Daniel has more than eight years of experience and focuses on a variety of tasks from design and workflow research to branding and information design. His expertise benefits customers through a multitude of categories ranging from conducting heuristic evaluations and market research to moderating focus groups and designing new suites of icons for upcoming products. He works with clients to transform complex ideas into rich and informative visuals that results in improvements to concepts, products, and workflow.
Prior to joining HumanCentric, Daniel taught at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and served as a Professor of Graphic Design and Art History at the School of Communication Arts in Raleigh. Daniel has worked as a print and web designer, film editor, and illustrator and has essays and work published in numerous publications. He maintains an active exhibition record, frequently displays his work in galleries along the east coast, and is an active member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA).
Daniel holds a Master of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Painting and Design from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from James Madison University.
