Bio

Priyanka is a Human Factors Specialist at HumanCentric. She has experience in designing, implementing and evaluating systems that explore avenues to facilitate the interaction between human and machine. Specifically, her expertise is in gathering user requirements, conceptualizing multiple solutions and performing usability evaluations in the field of Spoken Language Systems, Multimodal Systems and Graphical User Interfaces. She is also proficient in evaluation and design of the systems which have provisions to interact with humans using different modalities such as verbal, visual and tactile simultaneously. Prior to joining HumanCentric, Priyanka worked as a Senior Research Analyst with Center of Advanced Research at Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP. Here she was involved in the assessment of the existing fraud risk assessment software prototype and devised innovative solution to visualize correlated textual search results to better identify fraudulent transactions.

Priyanka received a Master of Science in Computer Science (Focus: Human-Computer Interaction) from Auburn University. She also received a Bachelor of Science in Electronics (Honors) from Delhi University, India. She is currently in the process of receiving her PhD in Computer Science (Focus: Human Centered Computing) from Auburn University. Priyanka is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Association of Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction (ACM SIGCHI), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Usability Professionals' Association (UPA).
