Description
HumanCentric played a crucial and integral role in the new design of a cancer screening system for TriPath Imaging. The system is a multi-stage process for analyzing pap smear specimen slides. The product line consists of two devices, one for multi-scanning (cytology) and one individual scanning (hystology). HumanCentric researchers conducted task analyses with local cytologists to help define user needs and perceptions. Our team then conceptualized a variety of forms and worked in close collaboration with TriPath's engineering team to finalize the configuration of the interior components. The collaboration resulted in short-run productions of both devices which enabled the client to conclude product testing and validation.
